While we're not in the equipment business, we've done a lot of research to help you find a cost-effective refrigeration program to maximize profitability from your Clean Eatz retailing
Requirements
We do not have specific equipment requirements in order to carry our meals. Whether you have some extra space in a deep freezer or want to invest in a glass double-door freezer, we welcome you to our program.
Everything we produce is done under the inspection of the FDA and USDA, which means you should not need any local permitting to start selling our meals.
Most of our products are produced to be stored frozen, so we mostly recommend freezers—this results in zero waste for your store. However, some high-volume stores elect to keep our products in refrigerators. Generally, our products have a 7-day shelf life if refrigerated.
The most economical way to attractively retail our frozen meals and snacks is via an ice cream freezer. These freezers are relatively inexpensive at $600 and store over 100 meals at a time. The glass top allows customers to easily see the selection you have available. We provide Clean Eatz graphics to wrap the freezer.
A single glass-door freezer is the best option for merchandising our products. A single door freezer allows you to hold 200+ meals in inventory and merchandise up to 20 different varieties of entrees. For those with bigger budgets, this is the option we recommend. Single door, glass freezers cost about $2k.
The Cadillac of meal prep retailing. Double-door glass freezers are how we retail meals in our stores. A double-door glass freezer can store over 400 meals and merchandise over 40 different varieties. Having a double-door glass freezer gives you the ability to offer more frozen products than just meals.
A table-top freezer can get you in the game. These flexible little work-horses only store 30 meals but can be placed on a table or the countertop for easy, convenient access. We generally do not recommend these as they do not provide enough storage space for you to keep backup inventory on hand.
We are very flexible in allowing you to retail our meals. We want to get you in the game and allow our programs to prove themselves. Even if you can only afford a chest freezer from Home Depot, its a starting point. We recommend you scour Facebook Marketplace and your local restaurant distribution outlet for used equipment. We don't make any commission on the equipment sold above and encourage you to reach out to us if you have any questions on how we can assist you.
